You'll be able to Watch Exclusive Interviews From the Red Carpet via Yahoo Movies and the Yahoo Screen App.

As the official digital partner of the DIVERGENT world premiere, Yahoo Movies will live stream the red carpet and on mobile via the Yahoo Screen App (http://bit.ly/17oPc2C) on Tuesday, March 18 at 6:00pm PT / 9:00pm ET straight from the world premiere in Westwood Village, CA. 

Yahoo host Ben Lyons will conduct live interviews with cast members and filmmakers including Shailene Woodley, Theo James and Kate Winslet, author Veronica Roth, and many more. 

The hashtag for the event will be #DivergentPremiere. Fans can submit questions via Twitter  now (with #DivergentPremiere) to have them answered by the cast.

Theo James & Gang Will Take Over Yahoo Movies Instagram Next Week

The Divergent cast, including Shailene Woodley, Theo James, author Veronica Roth and more, will be on a cross-country tour next week. And they’ll capture the trip for an epic Yahoo Movies Instagram Takeover.

For four days, the “Divergent” gang will be attending special red carpet screenings and sharing exclusive snapshots from the 14-city tour.

Theo James To Star In Indie Drama "Franny" With Richard Gere

Great news, Theo is set to star in the indie drama "Franny" with Richard Gere and Dakota Fanning.

Dakota Fanning and Theo James have been set to star in indie drama Franny opposite Richard Gere. Fanning will take on the role of Olivia and James will play Luke in the pic from writer-director Andrew Renzi, which centers on a gregarious hedonist (Gere) who finds a renewed sense of purpose by desperately ingratiating himself into the lives of a young couple.

Treehouse Pictures, Thomas B. Fore, Jason Michael Berman and Jay Schuminsky are producing, with Shelley Browning, Michael Diamond, Ruth Mutch and John Friedberg exec producing. Shooting is set to begin October 21 in Philadelphia. Fanning will next be seen in Amy Berg’s Every Secret Thing. James is set to star in Summit’s next YA franchise Divergent opposite Shailene Woodley. Fanning is repped by WME and Echo Lake Management; James by WME in the U.S. and Markham, Froggatt and Irwin in the UK.

As guests pour into San Diego for the 2013 Comic-Con, "MTV Geekend" continues to expand its live-streaming coverage of the event with a conversation with the entire cast of "Divergent," Neil Burger's adaptation of the acclaimed book by Veronica Roth.

On Thursday, starting at 2 p.m. on Comic-Con.MTV.com and going all weekend, MTV News' Josh Horowitz will sit down with Shailene Woodley, Theo James, Neil Burger, Veronica Roth, Ansel Elgort, Ben Lamb, Maggie Q, Mekhi Phifer, Miles Teller, Ben Lloyd-Hughes, Christian Madsen, and Amy Newbold for an in-depth chat about the upcoming film.

"Divergent" follows Beatrice 'Tris' Prior, a young woman who lives in a society where humans are separated into groups according to their personality traits. After taking an aptitude test that qualifies her for three different groups, Tris embarks on a journey of self-discovery that forces her to choose between the path her parents chose and one she forges on her own.

CONFIRMED: Theo James & Divergent Will Be At Comic Con

Summit Entertainment have confirmed that there will be a FIRST LOOK at Divergent at Comic Con AND there will be a panel on July 18th with Theo James, Veronica Roth and Loads MORE (see Below for the full list of who will be there).

This isn't Theo's first time at Comic Con. He was there in 2011 for Underworld:Awakening and Bedlam, (in case you missed it, check it out HERE) but it'll definitely be a different experience for him this time around.



Hall H Panel - The studio's panel on Thursday, July 18th will feature the first footage ever seen of the futuristic thriller and a Q&A with DIVERGENT'S filmmakers and cast, including novelist Veronica Roth, director Neil Burger, and cast members Shailene Woodley, Theo James, Miles Teller, Maggie Q, Ansel Elgort, Mekhi Phifer, Ben Lamb, Ben Lloyd-Hughes and Christian Madsen.

Convention Floor Booth - Summit Entertainment's booth located within the Grand Hall will highlight DIVERGENT. Exclusive premium promotional items will be distributed to the attendees walking the convention floor and cast members will sign autographs for booth visitors.

Santa Monica, CA – April 8, 2013 – Summit Entertainment, a LIONSGATE® (NYSE: LGF) company, announced today that principal photography has commenced in Chicago on the highly anticipated feature film adaptation of DIVERGENT, starring Golden Globe nominated Shailene Woodley, Theo James, and Academy Award® winner Kate Winslet.

The studio also announced that Ray Stevenson and Mekhi Phifer will join a stellar young cast including Maggie Q, Jai Courtney, Miles Teller, Zoë Kravitz, Ansel Elgort, Ben Lloyd-Hughes, Ben Lamb, Christian Madsen, and Amy Newbold.  The futuristic action adventure, based on author Veronica Roth’s New York Times best seller, will be directed by Neil Burger from a script by Vanessa Taylor.  The original draft of the script was written by Evan Daugherty.  Douglas Wick and Lucy Fisher are producing the project via their Red Wagon Entertainment banner along with Pouya Shahbazian.  Red Wagon’s Rachel Shane is executive producing, alongside John J. Kelly. 

Summit will release the film theatrically in North America in THE HUNGER GAMES slot on Friday, March 21, 2014.

DIVERGENT is a thrilling adventure set in a future world where people are divided into distinct factions based on their personalities, Tris Prior (Woodley) is warned she is Divergent and will never fit into any one group. When she discovers a conspiracy to destroy all Divergents, she must find out what makes being Divergent so dangerous before it’s too late.

The extremely popular young adult novel Divergent was written by first time author Veronica Roth and has topped the New York Times Best Sellers list ever since being published in May of 2011 by Katherine Tegen Books/HarperCollins Publishers.  The book was written by Roth while she was earning her undergraduate degree at Northwestern University.  She followed her first novel with the book Insurgent, which has also made its way to the #1 position on specific New York Times Best Sellers lists.  To date, book sales are now over 3 million copies for both novels combined, and both titles are HarperCollins most successful e-books ever in regards to sales.  The studio acquired the film rights to the novel in early 2011 several months before the book Divergent was published.

Theo James Gets The Lead In CBS’ Pilot ‘Golden Boy’

Great news this morning.
Deadline.com and Digital Spy are among the sites reporting that Theo has landed the lead role in a new CBS pilot.

British actor Theo James has landed the lead in CBS’ drama pilot Golden Boy, from Nick Wootton and Greg Berlanti. The project, produced by Warner Bros TV and Berlanti Prods., centers on Clark (James), a cop, and chronicles his meteoric rise from officer to detective and ultimately police commissioner. Ryan Phillippe was originally tapped for the role but exited shortly thereafter, triggering a lengthy auditioning process that resulted in the casting of James. James, who has a handful of credits in his native Britain, including a lead on the BBC series Bedlam, is virtually unknown in the U.S. aside from a guest spot in the first season of Downton Abbey where he played Kemal Pamuk, the Turk who died in Lady Mary’s bed. He made his Hollywood debut in the recent Underworld: Awakening. James is the latest non-American actor to get the lead in a pilot this pilot season.

The drama stars Olivia Williams as DS Charlie Zailer and Darren Boyd as DC Simon Waterhouse and is produced by Hat Trick Productions.

The new two part story is based Hannah’s best selling novel The Other Half Lives.

Zailer is taking out her frustrations in a kick boxing class, where she meets Ruth (Eva Birthistle), a young music teacher with a new boyfriend with whom she has fallen madly in love.

She believes she can unlock Aidan’s extraordinary talent as a pianist. And when he asks her to marry him, she accepts. But there are two problems. Firstly, she is married to someone else, a fellow teacher, and secondly, Aidan (Theo James), has admitted that in the past he killed someone.

In turmoil Ruth asks her new gym buddy Zailer how she might ‘help a friend’ check if her partner has a criminal record of any kind. Charlie is immediately suspicious. Fearing that her new friend is in danger, and despite the opposition of her boss DCI Proust (Peter Wight), she starts to investigate, only to uncover a story of thwarted dreams and murderous jealousy…

As cracks start to show in the case and her own relationship with Waterhouse, Zailer finds herself taking increasingly erratic steps to ensure she and the investigation don’t completely unravel.

The drama filmed on location in Buckinghamshire and London was commissioned by Controller of Drama Commissioning Sally Haynes and ITV’s Director of Drama Commissioning Laura Mackie.

Mackie said: “I’m thrilled to see Olivia and Darren reprising their dynamic partnership as Zailer and Waterhouse. It’s a compelling and disquieting story and Sarah Williams has delivered a superb adaptation of Sophie Hannah’s highly contemporary crime novel.”
