From Moviehole:
Up-and-comer Theo James (“Divergent”) is said to have joined the cast of the Ron Howard-produced “The Most Wonderful Time”.

The Jessie Nelson-directed flick, starring Diane Keaton, Amanda Seyfried, Alan Arkin and Annette Bening, revolves around a young couple who plan to host one last Christmas for the family, after which they’ll announce their separating. Time with their dysfunctional family spurs them to question their decision though.

Howard, Brian Grazer, Kim Roth, Jessie Nelson, and Ryan Kavanaugh produce.

Working on confirmation on Theo.
From The Wrap
Oscar winners Alan Arkin and Diane Keaton, four-time Oscar nominee Annette Bening and young stars Amanda Seyfried and Theo James are all in various stages of negotiations to star in Relativity’s heartwarming holiday comedy “The Most Wonderful Time,” an individual familiar with the project has told TheWrap.
Jessie Nelson (“I Am Sam”) is directing from a script by Steven Rogers (“Stepmom”).
Relativity CEO Ryan Kavanaugh is producing with Nelson and Imagine’s Brian Grazer, Ron Howard and Kim Roth. Relativity’s Tucker Tooley will executive produce with Ron Burkle, Jason Colbeck and Rogers.
Keaton and Arkin play Charlotte and Sam, a long-married couple who have been growing apart for decades and decide to host one last Christmas celebration before revealing to their family that they’re separating. Their grown children come home for the holidays with their own relationship issues and personality quirks, completely oblivious to their parents’ turmoil. As the entire family shares memories and creates chaos that includes a shocking episode at dinner, Charlotte and Sam begin to question their decision.
“The Most Wonderful Time” does not have a release date yet but Relativity is committed to making the movie in 2014.
Several cast members have been linked to the film over the course of development — though it’s a fresh project for James, the up-and-coming star of “Divergent” and Andrew Renzi’s indie movie “Franny,” which stars Richard Gere.

Production is getting underway today in London on an adaptation of the Martin Amis novel London Fields. Mathew Cullen makes his feature directing debut on the adaptation of the futuristic murder mystery that Amis adapted with Roberta Hanley. Amber Heard, Billy Bob Thornton, Jim Sturgess, and Theo James are starring.
Heard plays the ultimate eternal sexual femme fatale, possessed of unusual beauty and hypnotic magnetism. Mysterious and clairvoyant, she sets a plan in motion to fulfill the prophecy of her own murder. Caught up in Nicola’s plan are a terminally ill writer (Thornton), a lowly street hustler (Sturgess) and an unhappily married banker (James), who become intertwined in a love triangle that unfolds in the grimy underbelly of London. Samson convinces Nicola to let him document her manipulations in a book she says will be his literary masterpiece but only she knows who the tale will end and who her killer will be.

The film is produced by Chris Hanley of Muse Productions, Jordan Gertner of Hero Entertainment, and Geyer Kosinski of Media Talent Group. A co-production with Demarest Films, the film will be ready for release next year and IM Global is handling worldwide sales.

Cullen has directed and produced more than 100 commercials and music videos and he helmed the prologue of Pacific Rim through Mirada, the creative studio he co-founded with Guillermo del Toro, Guillermo Navaro (who is DP on London Fields) and Javier Jiminez. Musical acts he has made videos for include Weezer and The Black Eyed Peas. The 23-year old also founded the commercials production company Motion Theory.
