She dressed in tracksuits as a time travelling blonde and in her lingerie as a scantily clad call girl, but Billie Piper's latest role sees her transformed yet again.
In A Passionate Woman the actress takes on the role of 1950s housewife Betty, dressed in calf-length tweeds and neat jackets and blouses.
Her character is a young mother and wife who falls hopelessly in love with her charismatic Polish neighbour, Alex Crazenovski, played by Theo James.
Billie and Theo were filming their scenes in a rowing boat, embracing passionately.
Billie, 27, was also spotted with a young child in her arms, playing her son Mark.
The BBC drama is written by Kay Mellor and has been adapted into two stories.
The first focuses on Billie's character's affair in the Fifties and the second looks at the consequences of that affair 30 years on.
